Are you familiar with The Great Banquet?  Patterned after the parable in Luke chapter 14, it is a banquet given by and centered on God.  Like it’s counterparts, Cursillo, Walk to Emmaus, and Tres Dias, this retreat examines Christianity as a lifestyle.  The Great Banquet is an orderly, structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christians.  Through a combined effort of laity and clergy, the Great Banquet focuses on the renewal of the church. It’s a spiritually refreshing and growth enhancing 3 day retreat with fellow Christian men.  I’m blessed to be one of the Spiritual Directors and one of the 15 speakers at the upcoming Northeast Florida men’s Great Banquet, April 25-28.  We still have room, if you know of someone (including yourself especially!) whom you’d like to sponsor or attend.  The cost is minimal, the food is great and the fellowship is encouraging and uplifting.  You will make friends for a lifetime!  The personal stories you’ll hear are incredible and inspiring.  More details are available at www.nefgb.com and www.lampstand.net.  Our church, Mandarin Presbyterian is the host.  Write or call me if you have any questions.   It is offered twice yearly for men and also for women.  I think you’ll find it to be a most refreshing and inspiring spiritual retreat!
