Who are you discipling?

That can be an uncomfortable, or even confusing, question for many. What does “discipling” even mean in a Christian context? When faced with tough questions like this it’s helpful to look to our model, Christ, for the answer. He discipled 12 individuals (and many more). We may not have the abilities of Christ… or do we? Don’t we have the very Holy Spirit of God, the God Himself, residing within us to equip, empower and guide us? Some churches and small groups are bountifully gifted with spiritual leaders and member-leaders. But there can be a tendency of “preaching to the choir”. Inward focus. Too many leaders and not enough young or new believers being nurtured in the faith. It’s a very convicting question, but so very important. Who are you discipling?
