Feeling down? Insomnia? Anxious, worried, disappointed?
Surrounded by confirmed atheist friends and relatives? Distant (literally and figuratively) children? Beaten down by the constant negative drone of politics, news and world problems? Grappling with dark medical issues?
The solution of course, is to “get out of ourselves”, and let God. You know, let God… Turn over the things you can’t control to God. Appreciate the blessings we have.
“Give all your worries to him, because he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
“Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
“God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
We would recommend a Bible study using Rick Warren’s “40 Days of Prayer”, and if applicable, Dr. Haugk’s Stephen Ministry book, “Cancer: Now What?” Also, the always user friendly and uplifting, “God’s Promises for Every Day” published by Word, Inc. and Thomas Nelson. Prayerfully consider Christian counseling. Pray without ceasing.
Blessings, in Christ!
